The first mobile casino games appeared in the early 2000′s. In early 2003 we saw the first mobile casino games become available on our phones (as we saw yesterday when looking at the first mobile slot games), and they weren’t “packed” as they are today, in a single application that contains every single one of the games that the online casino has on display.
Unlike nowadays, the early mobile casino games were pretty much illegal, as online gambling wasn’t as well looked upon as it is today. As a result, online casinos could never be found in the same place twice, and the mobile applications were that much harder to come across. So, you could play mobile casino games from your phone, but it was extremely difficult – not only was the whole thing basically illegal, but the internet speeds were horrendous.
In the latter part of the decade, technology and mobile phones evolved to the point that online casinos could develop more and more powerful games and applications for them. It was then that online gambling finally arrived in its truest form. Longer battery lives, more powerful wireless technology, more powerful gadgets altogether, they all made online gambling a reality.
Nowadays, mobile casinos are the truest form of mobile gambling you can find. Not to say that online poker cannot be played on your phone, or you can’t take up sportsbetting on your gadget, but mobile casinos are definitely the easiest go-to games out there. And things keep getting better and better – the graphics of the games keep improving, the gameplay gets twisted and turned from one release to another.
